CulturCooperation e.V. and the Hamburg Senate Chancellery currently conduct an EU-project entitled “Youth for Global Responsibility” with local administration and NGO partners in Copenhagen, Dar es Salaam, Hamburg, Prague, and Tallinn which runs from 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2012.
The European Year of Volunteering 2011 forms the framework for this project which aims at initiating exchange of knowledge and best practice in International Youth Voluntary Services (IYVS) among involved stakeholders and organisations such as Youth Voluntary Service Organisations, hosting partners in the Global South, educational institutions, politicians, and young volunteers. This joint project is therefore organised as a network for tool-sharing, capacity-building and lobbying.
The project website http://www.contribute-to-change.eu seeks to provide comprehensive information and to initiate controversial debates about tasks and aims of such services, the benefit for Southern hosting partners, and the role of returned volunteers as disseminators of development issues from different European backgrounds.
Take a look at the top menu for information on the project partners, its programme and structure, the aims, the activities taking place in the partner countries and the European networking events.
Contribute to change and engage in discussions and exchange!
